Common questions
How Fast We Get to You
What happens after I call?
A real person picks up, asks what the drain is doing and where the water sits, then locks in a time that suits, often for the same day. Before we arrive you will know when to expect us and what the first look involves, so nothing about the visit is a mystery.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, including the long weekends, and the number does not switch to a message bank after hours. Drains pick their moments badly, so someone from our own team answers day or night, every single day, at the same number you would call on a Tuesday morning.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage rising through a toilet, shower or floor waste is an emergency, and so is an overflow relief gully discharging into the yard. Several fixtures backing up at once usually means a main line problem, so stop running water and ring us straight away.
How do I book?
Ring (02) 9199 2575 and we will settle a time while you are still on the phone, which remains the quickest way by a distance. If you would rather not call first, the form on our contact page requests a callback instead, and we do the dialling.
Common questions
Pricing, Quotes and Offers
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
We quote off the job in front of us, and the price is agreed before any work starts as one fixed amount for the entire repair. If a clear drags past what we allowed for, that is ours to wear, because the amount you approved is the amount you pay.
What does '$65 off your first service' cover?
Exactly what it says: if we have not worked for you before, $65 comes off the final bill on that first job, whatever the work turns out to be. The discount is applied right on the invoice, with nothing to print, redeem or sign up for.
What discounts do you offer?
Five, and they stack: $65 off a first service, a free CCTV look with any jet blast, a free plumbing inspection on any job that tops $200, a premium garden tap fitted free with any paid booking, and 20% off for seniors. A senior booking a first jet blast could claim three at once.
What does 'from $89' actually include?
The $89 starting price covers a straightforward blockage with clear access, cleared and flow-tested, and plenty of jobs land exactly there. Anything bigger gets its own fixed quote before we begin, so the price can grow with the job but never partway through it.
Common questions
Local to Cranebrook
What suburbs do you service?
Our run takes in the suburbs on every side: Penrith, Kingswood, Cambridge Park, Werrington and St Marys. If you sit a street or two beyond one of those, ring anyway, because a boundary on a map has never made us turn down a job.
How local are you, really?
Local enough that a job on Grays Lane or up near the high school is part of a normal week, not somewhere we need directions to. We will not pretend the van lives on your street, but this corner of Penrith is our regular run, week in and week out.
Why do Cranebrook's older homes get blocked drains?
A big share of this suburb dates from the 1970s and the decades either side, and the original drains under those blocks are showing their age. Pipes of that vintage were laid in short jointed sections, and after fifty-odd years each joint is a place for water to catch and roots to probe.
Can you handle new builds and renovations here?
Yes, and they bring their own drain problems: leftover builders' debris in the line, sagging pipework under fresh landscaping, and stormwater pits that struggle when the big summer storms roll through. A camera inspection quickly settles whether a young drain is blocked or was never laid right.
Common questions
Who's Responsible for What
Do wipes really block drains?
Constantly, and the flushable label makes it worse, because flushable wipes are not flushable in any practical sense. They keep their strength in water, snag on any rough joint, then knot up with grease and hair into a plug that jetting will shift but a plunger never will.
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
If work we have done ever fails because the workmanship was at fault, we come back and fix it at no cost. It applies to a quick clear just as it does to a full excavation, which tells you how often we expect to need it.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A plunger and a careful pot of boiling water are fair first moves on a slow sink, and sometimes that is genuinely all it takes. Once waste backs up or the same drain keeps choking, NSW rules put drainage work in licensed hands, and hire-shop gear mostly turns blockages into broken pipes.
What standards does drainage work follow?
Drainage and sanitary plumbing in NSW runs to the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards, which govern how lines are sized, graded and jointed. Every repair we do is carried out under NSW plumbing licence #465156C to meet that code, so the fix passes inspection rather than just passing water.
